William Michael Stephens was born in San Diego, California. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in English from California State University, Fresno. He is currently teaching high school English in Salinas, California. He has been a teacher for eighteen years and has taught grades six through twelve in Tulare, Fresno, Santa Clara, and Monterey county. His hobbies include, aside from writing; cars, football, and playing guitar. William has written poetry and short stories for the majority of his life and About a Girl is his first novel. He just recently published his second book, walking into Spiderwebs. He is currently working on the third book in the series, Crawling in the Dark, set to be published later this winter.
